Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Water Engineering Technologies (WET) is the developer and patent holder of the proprietary Treatment Shaft. The vertical Treatment Shaft is a United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) PISCES award winning technology in 2006 and listed as an “Emerging Technology” in the EPA Manual for wastewater treatment systems in 2013. Three major projects using the patented Treatment Shaft technology have been successfully constructed and are successfully operational for six years in, Michigan.
